Francis Coulombe's survival horror RPG Look Outside is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Publisher Devolver Digital priced the console versions at $9.99, matching the Steam list price for the PC edition that launched on March 21, 2025.
According to Devolver's launch press materials, Look Outside is available now on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for $9.99. Store pages are live on the PlayStation Store and the Nintendo eShop.
What's in the building
The hook is brutal and simple: a mysterious event turns anyone who looks out a window into a grotesque monster, leaving the world in chaos. You survive inside a single apartment building, planning scavenging runs for food, supplies, and weapons, then retreating home to cook, craft, play games, and decide which strange neighbors can be trusted as allies.
Combat is turn-based and tracks distance between you and more than 150 hand-crafted creatures, with makeshift weapons gathered in the halls. The Steam page and console store copy also call out a dozen boss encounters, recruitable residents, visitors at your door, several endings, and roughly 10 to 12 hours of play. Steam user reviews remain Overwhelmingly Positive.
Final Vision on day one
Console players are not getting the March 2025 launch build. Launch-day coverage, including reporting that cites the publisher, says the PlayStation and Switch versions ship with the free Final Vision 2.0 update (new endings, monsters, quests, areas, and Cursed mode) plus later PC patches. Rocket Chainsaw, which played an early Switch 2 build, described the console release as version 2.3. Xbox platforms are not part of this rollout.
